The contest was originally scheduled and agreed for 10 rounds. On Saturday 12th February 2022 at the weigh-in Nadia Flalhi’s coach provided documents from the Federazione Pugilistica Italiana, who license Nadia Flalhi, stating that they will only authorise Nadia to compete for six rounds. Swift negotiations with the Professional Boxing Council (PBC) culminated in the PBC agreeing to sanction the contest as six rounds.
