The contest was originally an eight round contest, however on Saturday the Matchmaker received notification from the Bulgarian Commission that they will only allow Ms Gorenova to compete for six rounds. Whilst six rounds for a Championship contest is not normally acceptable in this particular case the PBC agreed it could go ahead as a Championship contest.
Following the contest Ms Gorenova was presented with a certificate for her services to boxing from the Association of Professional Boxing Commissions.
