Mollie Edgington\u2019s fourth event of the year, appropriately named TOTAL IMPACT, took place at the Basildon Sports & Leisure Club in Essex on the 29th August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Opening fight of the night pitted Jade \u2018Sniper\u2019 Smith (2-0-0) against debuting Lia Carpenter from Stoke in a Bantamweight contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interesting clash of styles, with \u2018Sniper\u2019 Smith very much on the front foot working off her jab, Carpenter, who has a very strong defensive style, covering up and countering when the opportunity arises. After four highly entertaining rounds it was to Referee Adrian Thorne\u2019s scorecard, which read 40-37 points margin in favour of \u2018Sniper\u2019 Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next up was Aberdeen\u2019s David McDonald (4-1-0) against India\u2019s Jaspal Singh (3-3-0). What a\u00a0cracking all action fight.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening round could have been fought in a phone box, as the two big lads stood toe-to-toe slugging it out for virtually the entire three minutes, I couldn\u2019t separate them, score wise, and neither could Scoring Referee Adrian Thorne, who scored it a 10-10 draw..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No surprise the pace dropped in the second round and it was Singh that was more attack minded, in the third it was total reversal with McDonald being the more forceful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Going into the fourth they were level, so whoever wins the final round wins the contest, however McDonald didn\u2019t leave it to fate and let rip with an exocet to the body that sent Singh down and out on the 1 minute and 37 second mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Third fight of the night see Preston based Light Heavyweight Byron Unsworth make his\u00a0pro debut against Sandeep Kumar (6-7-0).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening round was fought at a pace and it was hard to split the pair, however the Referee didn\u2019t need to worry about that as just as the round was heading to it\u2019s conclusion on the 2 minute and 52 second mark Unsworth landed a cracker of a bodyshot to send Kumar down and out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next up was Aberdeen prospect Charley Leigh Brown (3-0-0) against India\u2019s Rajwant Kaur (5-5-0). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brown is a class act and without doubt a genuine prospect, her ring craft is pure poetry, whilst she didn\u2019t have it all her way as Kaur is a savvy lass and took each and every opportunity to counter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another cracking all action fight that ended early, this time on the 30 second mark of the third round courtesy of a powerful Charley Leigh Brown right hand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the interval debuting Leon Kellett faced India\u2019s Banty Singh (13-8-0). As with team mate Byron Unsworth\u2019s fight it was all action but came to an early finish, Kellet scoring a maiden victory via TKO on 2 minute 58 second mark of the 1st and what a finish it was, Kellett ducked under a big right, landed a beautiful combination culminating in a big right to the chin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sixth fight of the night see Harry \u2018Hammer\u2019 Coton (1-0-0) against Belfast\u2019s Marty Kayes (12-66-1) in a four round Middleweight contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coton was fully aware that Kayes is a tough nut to crack, so approached the contest methodically, it was like watching a human chess match, Coton utilising every tool in the box to try and break down Kayes\u2019 formidable defence, whilst ensuring his defence was as solid as could be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another cracking fight that Coton won via a 40-36 points decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Headline fight pitted Guidford\u2019s unbeaten William Hill (4-0-0) against India\u2019s Inderjit Singh (4-2-0). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hill came out fast, landing a couple of cracking shots before firing off a massive and pinpoint accurate shot to KO his opponent in just 36 seconds of the opening round – wow that was an incredible finish, it wasn\u2019t just Singh and his team stunned by it, we all were it was clinical but flamboyant at the same time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mollie Edgington\u2019s TFM Boxing Promotions goes on the road for their next event, which takes place at the Fusion Night Club in Liverpool on the 4th October 2025, which is in association with Sean Keshahoya\u2019s Wirral Fight Club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
